Position Summary
The Investor Relations Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships between the company and its investors, clients, shareholders, and broader financial community. This role supports the company’s investor communications strategy by providing accurate, timely, and transparent information regarding financial performance, business strategy, market developments, and investor growth opportunities.
The Investor Relations Manager works closely with senior leadership, Finance, Accounting, Legal, Corporate Communications, and other internal teams to prepare investor communications, coordinate earnings activities, analyze market and asset trends, and ensure consistent messaging to the investment community.
Key Responsibilities
Investor Communications
· Develop and maintain effective relationships with company investors, shareholders, analysts, and other members of the financial community.
· Serve as a key point of contact for investor inquiries and information requests.
· Prepare investor presentations, investor communications, fact sheets, talking points, and other IR materials.
· Ensure investor communications are accurate, consistent, timely, and aligned with company strategy.
· Prepare Year End company and property asset reports.
· Develop a company strategy for investor communication, raise equity internally and through outside partners, and further developing company investor communication platforms.
Financial Reporting & Earnings
· Support the company asset and investor quarterly and annual earnings process, including preparation of earnings materials, presentations, scripts, FAQs, and supporting analysis.
· Coordinate with senior leadership to understand financial results and key performance drivers.
· Assist with preparation for earnings calls/communications, investor meetings, conferences, and management presentations.
· Monitor, analyze, and create financial and operating metrics relevant to investors.
· Stay fluent with current market conditions through research and convey information through reporting.
Investor & Market Intelligence
· Monitor investor sentiment, company property asset activity, analyst research, valuation trends, and industry developments.
· Conduct peer-company and competitive analysis.
· Track changes in the company's investor base and identify emerging investor trends.
· Prepare regular reports and briefings for senior management on investor feedback and market perceptions.
Investor Engagement
· Coordinate investor meetings, conferences, earnings presentations /calls, and other investor events.
· Help prepare executives for meetings with investors and analysts by developing briefing materials and anticipated Q&A.
· Maintain a comprehensive database of investor contacts, interactions, questions, and feedback.
· Gather investor feedback and communicate relevant themes and concerns to senior leadership.
· Corporate Governance & Compliance
· Partner with Legal and Accounting to ensure compliance with applicable securities laws, disclosure requirements, and company policies.
· Help maintain appropriate controls and documentation around investor communications.
· Support preparation of regulatory and investor-related materials as required.
Internal Collaboration
· Work closely with the senior leadership, and other business leaders.
· Translate complex financial and business information into clear, investor-friendly messaging.
· Assist leadership in understanding market expectations, investor concerns, and valuation considerations.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Communications, or a related field.
· 5+ years of experience in investor relations, corporate finance, investment banking, equity research, financial communications, or a related discipline.
· Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation concepts, capital markets, and corporate finance.
· Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
· Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities.
· Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under tight deadlines.
· High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications
· Professional Qualifications.
· Proficient in Adobe Creative programs – very important.
· Experience supporting quarterly earnings and company reporting processes.
· Experience interacting directly with private and institutional investors
· Familiarity with investor relations platforms, market intelligence tools, and financial databases.
· Advanced proficiency in App Folio (or related), Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
